G.P. Putnam's Sons. 1st ed1930. Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. This is Patrick O'Brian's first book, written when he was still in school, under his old name 'Patrick Russ'. Red cloth with green titles. Colour frontis, b/w illustrations. Caesar is a cub in the Tibetan forests; it follows his early wild life, how he became an orphan and also tells of his capture and taming. Spine and cover edges are faded, with some more fading starting to affect front and back covers. Light foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. In 2ND issue dustwrapper. The wrapper is showing browning, to same parts that are faded undernath. A few light marks - but wrapper doesn't have an apparent tears or chips. A beautiful book!

All about 'Daddy Cat'. Corners worn, boards marked and scuffed. New endpapers. Some repaired tears. Contents a little grubby but pictures still lovely and bright. A nice copy of a scarce Louis Wain item.
