Pall Mall Gazette1st ed1892.Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Large format. Pale blue pictorial cloth. A story based on Louis Wain's beloved cat Peter. Delightful b/w illustrations throughout, but not in Wain's usual anthropomorphic style - these are real cats! 88 pages. Spine browned, covers grubby. Corners worn. Small bookplate and inscription in red ink to front pastedown. Front endpaper missing. Rear endpaper torn with no loss. A few faint margin marks else contents clean and bright. A nice copy of this early Wain title.
