About The Business
We have two shops both situated in the beautiful Wye Valley on the border between England and Wales.
Stella Books

Located in the lovely village of Tintern - well known for its ancient abbey, Stella Books has been established since 1991 and has over 35,000 books in stock on all subjects.

Opening hours are 10.00 am until 5.30 pm Mon.-Fri., and 9.30am - 5.30 pm Sat. & Sun. For our contact details click here.

Rose's Books

Situated in the beautiful market town of Hay-On-Wye - renowned for its 30 or more bookshops - Rose's Books has been established for over 18 years and carries a stock of over 12,000 children's and illustrated books.

This is Sonia together with her assistant Onyx, a 'Hearing Dog for the Deaf'! Sonia manages Stella Books and her specialist subjects are Pop-ups & Moveables, Dogs and Cats - if you have a collection of Dog or Cat books to sell, please let her know!

Theresa looks after our shop customers and is usually the first point of contact if you telephone us at Tintern. If you would like to receive regular lists of books, please contact Theresa.

Adam works in our Orders department and keeps an eye on our Sales & Marketing strategies. He also helps to keep our website up-to-date and maintains our excellent section of Observer's Books & Biggles books. If you have any Observer or Biggles books to sell, or are looking for titles to complete your collection, please contact Adam.

As well as working in the Orders department, Tim helps Steve (see below) to develop and maintain our website. He also looks after our section of popular Jennings books by Anthony Buckeridge. If you have any Jennings books to sell, or suggestions for our website, Tim would like to hear from you!

Jane currently works Mondays to Thursdays at our Tintern shop. As well as helping to process orders, Jane is frequently seen taking photographs of our stock to upload to our website!

college. She is the founder of Stella and Rose's Books
and is considered an expert in the field of children's
books.

Having been a long-standing member of the Stella Books team, Jo is now working for Rose's Books (but also helps at Stella sometimes)! Jo is responsible for pricing and cataloguing books, helps with our website information pages and is also our Ladybird book expert.
